Open lecture on Constitutional Law with a Comparative Approach

On the 22nd of March 2023, ILSTA held an open lecture on the Constitutional Law with A Comparative Approach by Ms Anna Dernicourt.
Over 90 participants from the Faculty of Law and Political Science, National University of Laos, as well as online participants from the Faculty of Law and Administration (FLA) Champasak, National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Champasak, Savannakhet, and Luang Prabang, and legal practitioners from central agencies, participated in the lecture.
Constitutional law is a subject that brings together a multitude of fundamental notions. The lecture focused on the concept of a state, the constitution, the hierarchy of legal norms and the rule of law, under a comparative law perspective.
Participants were actively involved throughout the lecture and during the Q&A session, allowing them to dig deeper into some of the topics discussed and helping them in their understanding.
