H.E Patrick Hemmer Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Lao PDR and Thailand meeting with the President of the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor (OSPP)

On 31 January, 2024, Mr. Xaysana Khothphouthone, the President of the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor (OSPP), was honoured to welcome H.E. Mr. Patrick Hemmer, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Lao PDR and Thailand and Mr. Richard Philippart, President of the Institute for Legal Support and Technical Assistance (ILSTA), with their team.
On this occasion, Mr. Xaysana Khothphouthone expressed his warm welcome and high gratitude to H.E. Mr. Patrick Hemmer for the cooperation and support from the government and people of Luxembourg through ILSTA in Lao PDR, strengthening OSPP’s capacity in technical matters, foreign language, and a number of technical materials which resulted in the development of OSPP’s work overtime. In addition, the Prosecutor General wished the Ambassador as well as his colleagues a good health, and a successful mission and work in Lao PDR, and hoped that the support from the government of Luxembourg will continue in the future.
Finally, H.E. Mr. Patrick Hemmer thanked Mr. Xaysana Khothphouthone for the warm welcome and informed him of the purpose of the visit and mission in Lao PDR which is to strengthen the cooperation between Lao PDR and Luxembourg with a view to developing the justice system and the rule of Law.
