The Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor, in partnership with ILSTA, organised a second consultation meeting in Vang Vieng as part of the evaluation of the laws under the People’s Prosecutor’s Office. This workshop enabled the authorities of the Central Provinces to exchange on the implementation of these laws in their jurisdiction.
In line with the last workshop in Luang Prabang, this event brought together officials from all central provinces, marking the second of three national meetings. The outcomes of these regional meetings will contribute to the report of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor, which will be presented to the National Assembly.
During this meeting, ILSTA experts presented their insights on the implementation of the Law under People’s Prosecutor’s Office in comparison with other national prosecution systems and case studies on the implementation of the provisions of the Penal Code.
The authorities shared their comments and recommendations on enhancing the dissemination and enforcement of the laws. This gathering provided a platform for fruitful discussions among the participants, aimed at improving the implementation of the laws and promoting justice in the Central Provinces.
