June 1st is International Children’s Day. The Convention on the Rights of the Child is an international agreement on childhood that protects and fulfills children’s rights. Under this Convention, children under the age of 18 are entitled to special care and assistance from the government. Lao PDR ratified the Convention on 08 May 1991.
