Today sees the first bilateral meeting between the Office of the Attorney General of Thailand and the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor of Lao PDR. This meeting represents a platform for exchanges between the public prosecutors of Lao PDR and Thailand on the fight against transnational crimes relating to narcotics. The authorities from both countries discuss how to boost bilateral cooperation in criminal matters, through a better understanding of their respective legislation and effective mutual legal assistance.The Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Lao PDR and Thailand, H.E Patrick Hemmer honoured the audience with his presence and underlined the support of Luxembourg for these two countries in the fight against transnational organised crime.
